We use Whereby's video solution
Whereby is a video conferencing platform and very easy to use.
Here you will find step-by-step instructions on how to use Whereby.
HOW TO JOIN A WHEREBY VIDEO CONFERENCE
Click on the Mein-KidsCircle link in the confirmation e-mail, this will take you to wehreby.
You will then be asked to enter your child's first name so that our kids coaches can receive them personally.
The first name is then displayed in the window below.
Then click on “Continue” (=Next).
HOW A TEST CALL WORKS
Once you've verified the first name, you'll need to allow Whereby access to your camera and microphone. Of course, this only applies to the duration of the video conference.
To do this, click on “Request permissions”.
In the pop-up that appears in the browser, click on "Allow".
HOW TO START A VIDEO CALL
After allowing access, you can already see yourself in the picture, but the other children and the coach do not see you yet.
When your child is ready, you can click "Knock" or "Join meeting" to enter supervision.
You don't need to download an app to join the video conference. One click on the Whereby link is enough. Whereby also supports older operating systems, in most cases your computer should meet the requirements:
Windows: Windows 7 and older
Mac: MacOS 10.10 and older
Linux: Any x64 based system
iOS devices: After clicking on the dial-in link, you can choose between access via the app or via the Google Chrome browser.
You can download “Whereby – Video Meetings” for free from the App Store. As soon as you have installed the app, just click on the link in the confirmation email and you will be forwarded to the video conference in the app.
Android: you don't have to download an app, you can simply open the link in the confirmation email with the Google Chrome browser.
Supported internet browsers
Whereby works with Google Chrome, Firefox and Opera. The last two browser versions are supported. Use with Safari and Edge works with some limitations.
